“Fishers of Men: Passion for Mission Work” is a transformative program designed to prepare individuals driven by a deep passion for mission work, nurturing their desire to actively participate in outreach initiatives. Inspired by the biblical metaphor of becoming fishers of men, this program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and fervour to engage in meaningful mission work.
The call to be “Fishers of Men” draws its inspiration from Jesus’ own words in Matthew 4:19 (NIV), where he says, “Come, follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people.”
The initiative invites individuals to consider the opportunity of visiting countries with a majority population of non-believers, reaching the unreached people groups and providing a unique chance to share the Gospel with those who may not have encountered its message. Participants will not only be inspired to spread the Good News but will also receive guidance on the legalities of being in a foreign country, understanding local customs, and navigating the societal norms to ensure respectful engagement.
Mark 10:29-30: Jesus affirms, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”
Becoming a “Fisher of Men” involves not only sharing the Gospel but also embodying love, compassion, and understanding. This initiative seeks to instill a sense of responsibility and empowerment, reminding participants that they can make a meaningful impact by heeding the call to share the Good News in diverse corners of the world.
Join us on this exciting journey of mission work, where your passion aligns with the divine purpose of spreading light in places where it is needed the most.
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!'” Isaiah 6:8 (NIV)
