Interfaith League Against Poverty has been actively promoting interfaith harmony in Pakistan through its annual Interfaith Christmas Dinners since 2004. These gatherings bring together people from different faiths, professions, and communities in an atmosphere marked by respect, warmth, and genuine friendship. More than social events, they have become meaningful spaces where unity and peaceful coexistence are experienced in a very human way.
Over the years, I-LAP has also joined in celebrating the religious and cultural festivals of diverse communities, including Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Holi, and Vaisakhi. The belief is simple: when people share moments of joy, eat together, and exchange greetings, barriers of fear and misunderstanding begin to soften.
I-LAP recognizes that people of all faiths are an essential part of Pakistan’s identity, contributing to its cultural richness and social fabric. These interactions create opportunities for dialogue and friendship among individuals who might otherwise never meet.
Through these efforts, I-LAP continues to nurture a society where diversity is respected, relationships are valued, and peace is built through shared humanity.
